Today, 4 June 2015, marks the 50th anniversary of the very first Springbok Radio Top 20 being Broadcast. It was on 4 June 1965 that the following top 20 was announced to the land:

  2. I had always been wondering when & how did the S.A Top 20 started, after all these years of wondering i finally came across it. Congratulations to Springbok Radio S.A Offical Top 20 Charts 50 years old woh!!! It’s a pity it had to come to an end during 1989. I still missed it a lot, it was part of my growing up. I introduced my family & friends to the S.A Top 20 Charts.
