When he wrote the track, Harrison initially thought it may be one for Beatles collaborator, Billy Preston to record, but then heard some of the stuff Preston was busy recording and didn’t think it would fit. He also held it back from The Beatles who were busy recording the Abbey Road’ album at the time. He then dusted off the track after The Beatles split and included it on ‘All Things Must Pass’, his first solo album after the split. Eric Clapton along with Pete Ham and Tony Evans from Badfinger would play on the track. In 1972 Olivia Newton-John would see her cover of the song get to 16 in the UK, 18 in Ireland and 34 on the Billboard Easy Listening Chart in the US.
