The song was first recorded in 1986 by Anne Murray. Her version would scrape a peak of 93 on the Canadian charts. Dean’s version would be the 16th of 18 hits produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman to chart and would rank 12th out of the 18 for top 30 points. It’s peak of 4 in the UK matched her previous best showing on that chart (which ‘Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go)’ managed) and remains her highest peak on those charts.
