Marty Wilde, who co-wrote the song, was Kim Wilde’s father and an artist in his own right. He, however, never managed to chart on the SA charts as a performer. The other writer of the song, Ronnie Scott, would go on to write Bonnie Tyler’s first 3 SA chart hits.
