At the time, the song would become the biggest selling single ever in Australia where Dolce lived. It has subsequently dropped way down the list. It famously kept Ultravox’s ‘Vienna’ (regarded by many as a far superior song) off the number 1 spot in the UK where it sold over half a million units. In SA it kept Kool & The Gang’s ‘Celebration’ and then Maywood’s ‘Give Me Back My Love’ off the top spot.
