The songwriting team of Toni Wine and Irwin Levine would also pen ‘Candida’, one of Dawn’s previous SA charting hits (#3 in 1970). The Tokens, who helped produce the track, were probably best known for their 1961 version of ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ which topped the US charts.
