The song was produced by Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and Duran Duran’s main producer Colin Thurston. Kajagoogoo’s lead sing, Limahl, had met Rhodes while working as a waiter at an exclusive London Club. ‘Too Shy’ would be the band’s debut single and would give them a UK chart topper before Duran Duran managed their first UK number 1. It would be 1 of 38 songs to top 2 of the 3 radio station charts mentioned above and just miss out on the 3rd where they peaked at 2.

Produced by Nick Rhodes, not Nick Taylor. There were three Taylors in the band (John, Roger, Andy) , but not a Nick
Thanks for that spot, Nik. All fixed now
