Samantha Fox was invited to audition for Jive records as the label was searching for a ‘British Madonna’ to sing the song. She got the job. Jive records was founded by South African producer Clive Calder. In 2004 Fox would record a new vocal track for a version of the song being put out by Swedish singer Günther. That version would top the Swedish charts and make the top 20 in Denmark (#12), Finland (#3) and Norway (#7).
