The song was first released in 1980 on the EMI Brigadiers label. It was then re-released on EMI in 1984. I am open to correction, but it seems likely that the song was picked up to use for the theme to the TV show of the same name and was given a re-release then. The TV show starred At Botha, Zack du Plessis & Pierre Knoesen.
