Like their previous hit, ‘Urgent’, ‘Waiting For A Girl Like You’ would also feature Thomas Dolby on keyboards. The song would spend 10 consecutive weeks at number 2 in the US, the first 9 of which were stuck behind Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Physical’ and then for a week behind Daryl Hall & John Oates’ ‘I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)’. On our charts it was the 7th of 9 songs to end their chart run with a biggest climber.
